HOZER FEBRUARY Meeting - Ideas?
-
Hi all,
So I've been trying to secure a spot to host our Feb HOZER meeting. I've tried Fairweather but they've ghosted me. Grain & Grit is all booked up. Clifford can take us but their hours are not the best. They can do Thursday Feb 22 until 8 pm or Friday Feb 23 until 10 pm. They aren't willing to extend hours unless we pay. Other ideas include getting an SOP, meeting up at the Salumeria and having their beer or meeting at Durand Bottle Shop and having their beer.
What does everybody think?

Definitely welcome to meet at the Salumeria next Tuesday(Wed-Fri we anticipate people coming for Valentine's).
If coming on Tuesday we can drink the beer we have here while discussing kegging cocktails and what I've learned since my first. I'll be working on blending one or two and getting it ready for carbonation that day. -
The latest update is that Clifford's isn't an option for the next few months. They are trying to get their license for a tied house so no outside alcohol as they go through that process. @JustinRoss should we set the date for next Tuesday. I'm unfortunately not able to make it but you can hold down the fort.

So people are not out of pocket why not setup a virtual meeting and have a presentation on something?
On average how many people have been coming out to the meetings?
After having a conversation with Jason a while back we had an idea of having quaterly in person meetings with virtual in between due to costs of SOP and availability.

@grindstonebrews we can also move to the following Tuesday, Feb 20th.
That day might work out better as although I will be done with the kegged cocktails, I'll have more takeaways to provide. -
Good news! I heard from Emma at Fairweather. The person who was running events previous quit and her inbox was all lost so they weren't getting my e-mail. They can take us on Feb 20 so I think we are all good to go and enjoy homebrew like the good old days.

I agree with no online meetings. In person is the way to go. Fairweather is great! Unfortunately I'll be away on the 20th but enjoy!
